Ways to Give

We are grateful for the generosity of our alumni and alumnae, current and former parents, and friends.  As you plan your gift to Doane Stuart, there are several methods by which you may make your contribution:

Cash Gifts

Cash gifts are the simplest, easiest gifts you can make. Doane Stuart accepts cash, personal checks, and Visa/Mastercard.  To make your gift online, click here. If you prefer to send your check via U.S. mail, please make your check out to “The Doane Stuart School” and mail it to:

The Doane Stuart School
Development Office
199 Washington Avenue
Rensselaer, NY 12144

Note: if you wish your gift to be designated to a specific area, such as financial aid, or The Campaign for Doane Stuart, please make note of this on your check.

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of stock may be transferred to Doane Stuart and in many cases, may allow a donor to make a larger gift than one of out-right cash.  Transferring stock directly from broker to broker avoids triggering personal income.  For stock transfer instructions, “click here” or contact the Development Office at (518) 465-5222, ext. 248.

Gifts of Personal Property

Gifts of personal property are welcomed, especially in anticipation of our annual Spring Gala and Auction.  We invite you to consider donating works of art, valuable collectibles and antiques, or jewelry to Doane Stuart.

Matching Gifts

Many employers offer their employees the opportunity of having their charitable contributions matched by their company. Please check with your employer to determine if your gift to The Doane Stuart School is eligible for a matching gift. If so, please consider enclosing a completed matching gift form from your employer, along with your gift, to double the impact of your gift.

Planned Gifts and Bequests

Planned gifts and bequests are wonderful ways to remember Doane Stuart in your estate plans. For more information about leaving Doane Stuart in your will, or about other planned gifts available, please contact the Development Office.
