O'Connor '13 Featured in Innovative Fashion Show
Lara O'Connor '13, of Westerlo, was one of only 16 designers selected for inclusion in Troy's 2010 "Trashion Show" of 2010. Fulton Street Gallery, who sponsored the show, demanded that artists create wearable fashions made of discarded and recyclable materials. O'Connor's innovative At the Barre was created from grocery bags, sequins, discarded fabric, yogurt cups and wire.Ariel Precious '10, of Voorheesville, modeled O'Connor's creation down the runway at Troy's Atrium. Precious is no stranger to the world of fashion, having spent last summer interning for fashion designer John Patrick, including assisting him at New York Fashion Week. Precious will attend the Fashion Institute of Technology this fall, to study photography.
