Derek DeSanto ’24 making his first varsity pitching start, dominated in the second game of the season against Loudonville Christian School. Derek allowed only two hits and a total of three baserunners in the game, striking out 20 of a possible 21 outs. Wow, that’s all we can say about that.
Offensively, Henry Smith ’21 had two doubles and an RBI bringing in Jackson Wells ’25 from first base. Derek contributed a double and two RBIs, bringing in Henry Smith in the 3rd inning and pinch-runner for Henry Smith, Kaylee Renaud ’23, in the fifth inning.
This was DS’s first win of the season bringing their record to 1-1.

20 Ks in a game! That’s one heck of an effort, young Mr. Desanto! Bring glory back to DS baseball.
