Ian Davis ’17 of Ballston Spa was selected as one of only four teens to represent Saratoga County for the 80th annual 4-H Capital Days Program. Capital Days is a two-day program held March 1-3 that involves teens in the civic process with the following objectives:
• To achieve a better understanding of the New York State policy process.
• To gain a better understanding of state and local government connections.
• To provide delegates the ability to meet with legislators and tell their 4-H stories.
• To create an awareness of career opportunities within the New York State Government.
• To meet and exchange experiences with delegates from other counties.
Ian is active in 4-H in Saratoga County in Shooting Sports, Teen Council and Teen Ambassadors.
While the bitter cold has kept many of us indoors the last few weeks, Ian spent part of that time completing a 14 hour shotgun junior instructor program…in the midst of sub-zero temps and heavy snow!
