In October at our Reunion celebration, Pam Clarke, Head of School, announced that Doane Stuart will rebuild its Alumni/ae Association. Pam indicated that this was the first step in her being able to get to know all of our alumni/ae. The first meeting of the rejuvenated Alumni/ae Association will be held on Wednesday, February 4th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm (rescheduled from January 27th). Alumni/ae will be able to participate in person or by telephone. Pam explained that what we are looking for three representatives from each class:
President will be responsible for the oversight of their class activities and, together with the Secretary and Class Agent, will report back to the Alumni/ae Association Committee and the Director of Alumni/ae Affairs. All alumni/ae are encouraged to support the school by sharing information and by giving to the Annual Fund.
Secretary will be responsible for gathering information updates from classmates and for passing along that information to the School.
Class Agent will be responsible for contacting classmates, encouraging them to attend Reunion, and working with the Director of Development to increase support of the school annual fund.
The Alumni/ae Association will be an organization that is structured to assist with keeping in touch with each class, encouraging participation in Alumni/ae events, updating contact information for classmates, encouraging classmates to support the School’s fundraising efforts (i.e. Annual Fund) and to provide input for activities and events that Alumni/ae would like to see offered.
Together we can create an Alumni/ae Association that will reflect our very proud past and support our strong future.
