This past Saturday, many of our Doane Stuart students used the bonus day in February to test their knowledge of neuroscience and brain disease at the 5th Annual Albany Regional Brain Bee held at Albany Medical College (https://www.amc.edu/research/DNET/albany_brainbee.cfm). Students take both a written and oral evaluation of brain facts running from physiological to psychological. Doane Stuart was represented by 8 students this year who competed against 30 other participants. Each of our students demonstrated an amazing knowledge of a wide range of brain facts and at the last posted standings Doane Stuart had 4 students in the top 10. Congratulations to Alvira Tyagi of Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield, MA who was the eventual winner of the event.
