Congratulations to Sarah Haviland ‘15 of Schenectady who was selected as part of the Times Union’s “2015 Scholars’ Recognition” edition. The Scholar’s Recognition Program honors members of the Class of 2015, throughout the Capital District, based on their extraordinary academic achievements, leadership, and service to their School and others. The student then nominates a teacher that has greatly impacted their life.
Excerpted from above: “Sarah Haviland is something of a superhero. Intelligent and driven, she maintains an ambitious course load and possesses a flawless academic record. Sarah is also a research assistant at Wadsworth Center, exploring the effects of protein and sugar on cytoskeletons. She is unfailingly poised when confronting any obstacle, including fences in the riding ring. While she relishes a challenge, Sarah is kind and thoughtful.”

Congratulations on your selection as a Times Union Scholar! Sarah will attend Haverford College in Haverford, PA, outside of Philadelphia. Sarah plans on pursuing Biology with a possible minor in French and Comparative Literature.
