SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Children’s Museum of Science and Technology’ s traveling museum visited Doane Stuart students in Kindergarten and First Grade to present an interactive program exploring technology of the past. The students learned and discussed how life was different for children and families 100 years ago.
They were given the opportunity to play with toys children of the late 19th and early 20th centuries would have played with, and learned how to use the tools and techniques would have been used to do simple tasks and chores like grind coffee or wash clothing.
