Congratulations to Merryn Kleider ’15 of Berne and Yaer “Vivian” Han ’16 of China for the recognition of their outstanding art work submitted for the 2015 Capital Region Media Arts Festival. Sponsored by The Capital Area Art Supervisors, The New York State Art Association Region 6 and The Bethlehem Central School District, the Media Arts Festival showcases works in both film and print media from students of the Capital Region. There are 140 works displayed from 15 school districts and a total of 90 minutes of film. This festival was developed and organized to provide students with a venue to explore and share their creative efforts in the media arts. Pieces were juried in the following categories: Film, Special Process Photography, Black & White Photography, Color Photography, Digitally Enhanced Photography, Fine Art Photography, & Graphic Design.
Merryn and Vivian were honored at an awards ceremony held at the Bethlehem Gallery at Bethlehem High School on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Merryn earned 2nd Place in the Black and White category for her work “Samsoni’d” and Vivian earned 2nd place in the Special Process Photography category for her work “Memory.” Click on the pictures below for the full-size images.
