The Thunder Rams (Doane Stuart and Rensselaer) kept their undefeated streak alive with a victory over Coxsackie-Athens on Tuesday, April 21. This brings the Thunder Rams record to 3-0, including earlier victories against Hudson and Greenville.
In addition to the undefeated start, numerous school records have also been set. Thomas Mathes ’16 of Coxsackie broke his own 3200m school record with a time of 11:39 (he broke the previous record of 12:03 with an 11:51 earlier this year). Meghan Araldi ’16 of Westerlo set the triple jump record with a distance of 29 ft (previous record 28 ft 8 in). Gawain Semlear ’17 of Chatham established a new record in the 800m with a time of 2:09.8 (previously 2:11.6).

Many other athletes and relay teams are poised to take down more records as the season progresses. Along with league meets every Tuesday and Thursday, select competitors will participate at the Luciano Invitational at Hudson Falls on Saturday, April 25 and Colonie Relays on Saturday, May 2.
