Ava DeSantis ’19 wins first place at Capital Region History Day

Ava DeSantis ’19 won first place in the Senior Division Historical Paper category at Capital Region History Day. Her entry was entitled “The First Reform Act of 1832: A Continuation of a History of Reformation for Preservation”. She will represent the Capital Region at New York State History Day in Cooperstown on April 29th.  

Journey Through the Body

Grades 3 and 4 recently took a “Journey Through the Body” at Crossgates Mall. The event, sponsored by St. Peter’s Hospital, was designed to educate children about the functions of the human body as well as how to lead a healthy lifestyle. In February and March, Doane Stuart held a chess tournament open to all middle and upper school students, as well as faculty and staff. Ava DeSantis ’19 receives Young Leader Award from the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy

Ava DeSantis ’19 has received the Young Leader Award from the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. During this past summer, DeSantis operated a face-painting booth at the Delmar Farmers Market, where she and a friend painted faces for four hours every Saturday.
