Socktober at Doane Stuart!
The Lower School Community Group will again collect new socks to benefit Capital Region area homeless as part of its annual Socktober sock drive. Any member of the Doane Stuart community is encouraged to donate new socks, of any style, in the collection bin in the Red Pod in the Lower School. The socks will be donated to the Concerns-U food pantry in Rensselaer. New socks are the single item most requested by homeless individuals and families. Your contribution will help those in need to stay warm this winter. If anyone has any questions about Socktober, please contact Lower School teachers Brittany Garrison or Kate Skivington.
